About The High Lonesome
Our Story
Formed in 1987, The High Lonesome was an Americana rock band that was based out of SoCal and primarily performed up and down the West Coast. They played venues from The Mint in L.A. to The Belly Up in San Diego and all the way out to Tempe, AZ and even to 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville. Oh, and at Disney World, too! The band featured Phil Ward on keyboards & vocals, Jeb Brown on bass & vocals, Larry "Dex" Poindexter on guitar & vocals, Jon Lindstrom on drums & vocals and Gary "Gig" Grantham on guitar,
vocals, percussion, harmonica and every other instrument known to man!
They recorded an album (Feel Free To Do So) for independent label Spark Records and issued a self-titled independent EP as well.
